Why we're building The Algarve Hub
When we moved to the Algarve ourselves, we quickly realised: there's no shortage of information. The hard part is knowing which of it you can actually trust.
You ask a Facebook group for a handyman, a lawyer or an accountant — and within minutes you get ten different names.
But what do you really know about those recommendations? Did the person actually work with that business? Were they genuinely happy? Or are they simply recommending a friend's — or their uncle's — company?
That's exactly what we wanted to change.
The Algarve Hub is meant to be a place where you don't have to dig through hundreds of comments, Google results and WhatsApp groups just to find someone you can trust.
We get to know the people behind the businesses personally before we add them to the platform. At the same time, people who have genuinely worked with a provider can share their recommendations.
Over time, that builds something we were missing ourselves: a place for the Algarve where you find people and businesses you can truly trust — faster.
